SWADE One Shots: Join now...

Hi Doswelk,

Just wanted to put my name forward in case you get the urge to run another one-shot sometime.

I have had a FGC standard license for well over a decade ... (just checked the forums for posts under a username that I lost because I no longer have the email address associated with it and found a message from back in 2006 ). Yet in all that time I have never done anything more with it than fire it up every now and again and wonder what it would be like to use it in anger. Got enthused again with the FGU kickstarter but couldn't convince my colleagues it was worth using. So one silver lining to the otherwise terrible world situation is that I have finally got a 5e campaign going and everyone seems to be enjoying it ... we are even looking to run two sessions this week.

However, it looks like I am pigeon-holed to be the GM for the foreseeable future being the only one of my group that has put money into this, lol.

I would love to join a game run by a very experienced GM and get a real feel for how a game runs when the GM is not constantly trying to remember how everything works just in time to teach my players . I am also interested in learning more about SWADE. I have the ruleset and a few of the settings but got swayed by the seemingly more advanced automation of 5e for my group.

I gather from this thread that you have converted the Deadlands Lost Colony setting to Fantasy Grounds. Any idea on when it might be available to buy? (I think I saw a thread where you mentioned you had passed it to SmiteWorks for final QA but may have got things mixed up).

Anyway, sorry for the ramble. Fantasy Grounds has rekindled my love of RPGs and I would love to get all the playtime I can.

I have followed the link and applied.

I can be available most weekday evenings ... I just need a little notice to clear things with my family. I can also manage most weekday lunch-times 12 until 2i-sh BST ... again with a bit of notice. I do have lunch-time sessions on Wednesday and Friday this week with my work colleagues. Weekends are a bit more tricky as family life tends to get in the way a lot more then. If needs be I could probably swing a morning some time on a work day, I would need to check that there was no clash with any meetings first though.

I'd be up for anything. Based off your previous list, I'd lean towards one of: Rippers Resurrected, 50 Fathoms or Dark Times in Saxfordshire.

I have just booked next Wednesday morning off work so I can join. (Haven't cleared it with my Wife and Daughter yet ... but I plan to play the "socialising is good for my mental health card" ). If we could play something using SWADE I would appreciate it as I have bought the ruleset and want to learn it so I can run something for my work colleagues sometime. Any setting is fine with me. Will you be supplying pre-made characters again?
