I had assumed the selected statement might be affecting the roll or the automation in some way, but if it is only a visual/manual aid and the ruleset is not applying any mechanical effect from it, then I understand the intention.

In that case, it is not really a rules issue, just something that confused me at first because seeing the statement selected made me think it was being applied automatically. Maybe a small tooltip or UI clarification could help avoid that misunderstanding, but I understand it is working as designed.
