Original Dungeons and Dragons ruleset
Has the original Dungeons and Dragons ruleset ever been adapted for Fantasy Grounds? I see Dungeons and Dragons products but not the actual ruleset or the Dungeon Master's Guide, Player's Handbook or Monster Manual. I'm talking about 1e, not 2e. These books...

See through the skies, far beyond our world tonight,
Hear the sounds of freedom ring, in a silent dream,
and a million miles away.
Reach for the stars, and live our lives forever free,
In our hearts for a thousand years, and a thousand lifetimes before.
And the dawn of a new day will rise, a light for us all. -Dragonforce

No, WotC have never given permission. There is an extension stickied in the extensions thread above which can be used to tweak some of the 2e stuff to be more like 1e. But there's no possibility of the Books ever being converted unless WotC relents.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

The closest to the ruleset working as AD&D is the OSRIC ruleset with the extension noted in the forums thread. That will give as close as expected for running an AD&D game. If you really want the AD&D books you will have to convert yourself. It does not take that long to create a reference manual. You will not be allowed to share (excepot for the built in functionality of Fantasy Grounds when people are connected to your session), but it can be done.

Yes, of course! I was forgetting that there was a diagonal banner that announced it was Advanced, didn't it? This is the D&D I started out with

Since I love running old school D&D I found the by using the Old School Essentials rules from the Forge that it gets pretty close to BECMI and touches on some of the AD&D stuff as well if you use the Advance OSE rules.
Personally I use OSE Advanced to do my old school conversions such as the ones below.
