Ammo for NPCs

Any simple way to do ammo for NPCs like what is done for characters? I'm making army stat npcs that have 5 or 7 ranged shots and looking for a way to track. Thanks.

Which ruleset? Different rulesets have different capabilities.

All (?) rulesets have the ability to add an effect line in the CT to the NPC and track them manually. Personally, I don't bother, very rarely do combats in most RPGs last long enough for NPC to run out of ammo.
