    Pathfinder Homebrew Campaign

Hey, folks. I have an original campaign I would like to run that uses the Pathfinder ruleset. Its a big one, pretty lengthy and eventually reaches high levels. When I say its homebrew, I mean that it uses classes, feats, traits, spells and items that I have designed. If playing characters that can go beyond level 20 sounds fun to you and you actually enjoy roleplaying and scenarios that require a great deal more than brute tactics to solve, then this one is something you will enjoy.

To give you a better idea of the scope, end game for this will have you playing 30th level characters that will reach mythic tiers of up to a maximum of 20. The challenges are not in any way simple and that's part of the allure for this campaign. Its hard. But teamwork and critical thinking brings on the victories.

There are two types of classes you can play as, each with restrictions that help to balance the whole thing out. Heroic classes are mighty, but don't follow standard mythic advancement and use the slow xp track. Original classes aren't as powerful, but use standard mythic paths and follow the medium xp track; some of them are prestige classes and will work well with standard Paizo classes. Heroic classes have access to heroic feats and traits, original classes do not. There's more, and its all revealed when the game begins.

I'm in Mountain time zone and this campaign will run once or twice a month, on either Saturday or Sunday as per the availability of everyone involved. The best window of time for each session would be from 1 pm to 10 pm, again as per the availability of everyone involved. Skype will be used for each session as well.

I am very familiar with Pathfinder and while I appreciate someone who knows the rules and how things work, I bend and even break rules to offer a dynamic setting. If rules lawyering is your idea of fun, don't bother asking me to join up. I have no tolerance for it. This is a story based campaign and it has a plot that follows sequence. If you want sandbox, this is not the game for you.

If you want to learn more, you may PM me and I will respond as quickly as possible (I will try to check this at least once a day).

Huge round of applause here particularly at these parts :) " .... you actually enjoy roleplaying and scenarios that require a great deal more than brute tactics to solve, then this one is something you will enjoy.... Far as the players who insist it absolutely, positively has to be sandbox or forget it (I've run into those before)... ideal situation - I think as GM's in our heart of hearts we'd all love to run a sandbox game that also is so incredibly well detailed that you could go anywhere in the campaign world and it has the rich, deep, meaningful storylines that players who focus heavily on role playing (I'm one of them :) ) love... but practically speaking that's next to impossible ! It would be a task of proportions so enormous I don't think it would be even humanly possible ! :P ... Unfortunately I'm one of those stubborn people who insists on text-only (slows down the game a lot but I feel like it creates a more immersive experience...I know I know that puts me in the minority here on FG :P ) so I wouldn't be a good candidate :( ... If I'm reading your intro correctly the game will be conducted via skype i.e. voice chat :) ... I love how you don't let yourself get enslaved by the game rules either to offer a more dynamic game, makes you feel more like you're in a movie or TV show or what not :) .... and I agree, rules lawyers slow the game down so badly that it's not fun at all - I personally don't join a game to listen to people bicker about rules it's no fun at all :(

Anyways, just wanted to say I wish you the best of luck on this :) ... it's clear just from the description you put a lot of hard work into this and I'm sure your players will have a lot of fun :)

Thanks for the good wishes, I hope it runs smoothly. I have put a lot of work into it.

    Good morning,

I just found out this morning that the DM of the Pathfinder group that I've player with recently has to interrupt his campaign. This leaves me with Saturday's free. I am one of those GM/players heavy into background and character development, and more than willing to stretch the traditional rules framework in favor of the RP experience. I have played since "the 80's" starting with 1st Edition D&D, and have experience on both sides of the table. I would love to learn more about your game. I prefer to start sometime after noon EST on Saturdays if possible (give me time to get some chores done).
