    Question Art Software

    Hi

I just wondered if anyone could recommend an alternative to Corel Paint Shop Pro? I have had no end of trouble since upgrading my PC to 64-bit Vista and the Corel support process is dire and unhelpful ("please reinstall your software" and "working on a 64 bit environment using a 32 bit app can be a little complicated for the program").

Having tried The GiMP and found it user-unfriendly, I'm running out of options (and patience ).

    Cheers

    Stuart

Not an expert here, but I found Paint.NET to be rather friendly (much more than GiMP).
Midnight for Fantasy Grounds 2... a work in progress.
    So far: Ruleset, Modules.

Paint.net is free and works fairly well.

Throwing in another vote for Paint.NET. It's amazing and far more powerful than it looks at first glance. Has a deceptively simple UI and is lightning fast.

Yours has a link, though. Way more informative

I use Paint.NET also. Its a good program with a *much* better interface than the GIMP.

Thank you all, I shall give Paint.NET a try.

I downloaded it yesterday and used it on blotting out a deity's name in a player handout, substituting it for one of my campaign. Worked like a charm

    dear foen,
paint.net is very nice indeed, but anyhow i´d also like to suggest to try out a program called artweaver:
    https://www.artweaver.de/index.php?en_version
it´s freeware, has amazing filters and options, does not need net.framework or similar software and could be used portable without any installation!

you might want to give it a try...
    best wishes - zorx

Ohhh, artweaver had lua scripting. Then you could alter pictures from within the ruleset
