since i purchased Fantasy grounds 8 or so years ago and the ultimate price was 149.00 or so and now the price for ultimate is a mere 50 bucks or so, do us old timers get any loyalty bonus?

8 years! Thank you for being with Fantasy Grounds.
During the 20th Anniversary Celebration when the price was lowered, existing license holders were given:
*Hearts and Skulls Dice Pack
*Stars and Clovers Dice Pack
*Savage Worlds Adventure Edition (SWADE) Ruleset
*Black Scrolls - Sewer Map Pack
*Pathfinder RPG - Pathfinder Flip-Mat: Dockshttps://linktr.ee/BelleMuerte

since i only play d&d content those things are pretty meaningless to me, i do appreciate the gesture, but store credit would have been more appropriate to those users to purchase the content that they played thanks for the reply though

lol not going to debate the issue. I am just stating that 100 bucks off to a new user and a far better and more stable and user friendly platform kinda is like kicking sand in the face for the old users who started on the old program. And for the record the maps would be the only useable item. Some silly die animations are worthless.

We all paid a fair price 8 years ago. We have gotten nothing but upgrades to the platform for free since then. I am not sure why you feel it is kicking sand in your face because they lowered the barrier to entry for new users. If you buy a truck for 50k and Ford lowers the price to 45k would you email Ford asking for money back? No of course not. It is even sillier because using this analogy Ford gave you an upgraded engine, sound system and new tires over that period.

Technology and software evolves, what was paid was a fair price at the time for what was available then - it's not a forever guarantee.
Nobody expects to return cars after driving them around for 8 years, because the latest models go faster and now have blutooth features. No-one refunds their old iPhone because the new one is cheaper and better.
It's just time moving forward and it's how products/ markets work. Consider it like this - 8 years, you got your money's worth!Forever DM - Fifth Edition (Homebrew Campaign)
Would love to try Call of Cthulhu. Any Gatekeepers out there?

I bought ultimate in 2018 (actually spent about $300 within the same week in the smiteworks store.) .
I don’t see any insult the price dropped $100. Market realities. And trust me I’m a million miles from rich , I do ok for myself but I definitely can’t spend with no discretion. That $300 I mentioned that I spent when I just got into fantasy grounds - out of character for me and I thought on it before doing it.

Buying a bleeding-edge video card for $1000 on launch, does one expect to get $500 back when it cuts a year later? When buying an $80 video game, do you expect to get $60 back when the discounted "Game of the <insert deceptive buzzword here> Edition" releases? No.
When you bought it 8 years ago, you agreed to its value at that time. You accepted that what you were getting was worth $150. And after 8 years of updates, an engine swap, and continued support longer than most software suites get, I'd say you more than got your money's worth.
