LOS question with multiple floors
Good Day All
I am trying to make a map with multiple floors with different LOS. I seem to be running into a problem where as I build up a new level with LOS it transfers connection points to the lower level.
For example I make a 50' square tower with a door but no windows on this level. I put all of this in a folder titled Level 1.
Then I make a second floor directly on top of the first and add some LOS to include windows. I put this into a folder titled Level 2.
When I hide the Level 2 folder (Close the eye) all the connection points for the windows are added to the walls on my Level 1 map. The windows are not there, just the added connection points.
Is this normal operations? Because I was trying to make a 3 story tower and all the connection points keep adding to the lower levels.

Yes, the system is not designed to stack multiple floors on top of each other for LoS/FoW. This would be an issue later when you changed floors since FoW is global to the image per token.
When placing multiple floors on the same map; you should separate them in space so they are in their own quadrant of the map.

Yeah don't.
Even if you overcome the LOS creation issues, what's going to happen the first time you have two PCs on different levels? Not only is one going to now have vision they should not have, you are going to be constantly toggle between the floors. Oh, and fog or war won't work right either because it's per map and not per floor.
If you have a location you want to have fog or war remembered and you don't want to toggle between maps, put all the layers on one map, but offset so you can see them separately. FoW and LOS and everything works great. Just as GM you will have to move the tokens between the levels as needed.

Good Day LordEntrails
Yup, I thought I would give it a try, in the past I always did the separate level but thought I might try something new.

Yea, I tried it just to see if I could figure something out. It just wasn't worth it. Some day
