    Invalid response from Syrinscape server

    Hi,

    Don't know if it is an FGU problem, a Syrinscape problem or some temporary issue, but I can't control Syrinscape from FGU after running check for updates today.
    I can queue things to play as usual but Syrinscape doesn't respond or start playing; I can play things manually via control panel on a web browser on Syrinscape fine. I can't regenerate my session ID or fetch the Syrinscape sound list via web, I get "Invalid response from Syrinscape server" as an error message in the FGU chat.

    This was working a few days ago.

    SWADE ruleset, Dawn of the Daikaiju module, SWADE rules and companions loaded.

    Haven't tried replicating in a virgin campaign yet as game is about to start, but wondered if anyone else was having problems?

    It's working for me in 5e and in SWADE. I've not seen that issue, so I'm unsure what the problem might be.
    If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

    Thanks Zacchaeus, hopefully just a local/temporary problem then, still not working for me but will test properly and report if it seems to persist.

    I updated about an hour ago and now I have the same issue. I can search my content and load it into the context, but the Web browser doesn't play any sounds or show sound is trying to play(it does open the browser and go to the appropriate player page). I tried creating a new link to see if that would help, but it did not. If I log into Syrinscape I can play it on their site and my subscription is active.

    Double check that your auth token in https://syrinscape.com/online/cp/ matches the Sound: Settings -> Authorization token in FG.

    Sometimes localized security updates, popup blockers, browser settings and such can also contribute to these types of issues. If it persists, try another browser too for troubleshooting purposes. You can also reach out to Syrinscape customer service too, as they might have some information and tips too.
    And, moreover, they could of had maintenence and down time from their servers too.

    All functions seem to be working today, no change on my end so I assume it was some temporary glitch at Syrinscape's end.
    I did run check for updates today though so if it happens to be that Smiteworks fixed it, thank you!

    I just ran check for updates for 4.6.1 and I am again getting the error when triggering sounds or trying to connect to Syrinscape. It may be something Syrinscape's end but the timing is a bit weird - it was working yesterday, I run check for updates and now it is not working again.

    It is working OK for other people today?

    MacOS M2 Ultra Studio Ventura 13.5
    Happens in my active SWADE campaign, a blank SWADE campaign and a blank 5E campaign, no extensions.

    Try these steps:
    1) In FG put the Syrinscape invite into chat and click on the player link so that it opens app.syrinscape.com in an external web browser - click any buttons in the browser that are needed to start playing.
    2) In another tab in the browser, enter https://syrinscape.com/online/fronte...xxxxxxxxxxxxxx (full text in the code block below) as a URL, substitute your authorization token for the xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx This should give you a response similar to that shown in the screenshot below, and the bugbear battle sound should start playing. If it doesn't please provide a screenshot of the response.

    I get the following Syrinscape error, so it looks like it maybe is their end:
