LFG 1 player, GMT+1, Basic Roleplaying, Call of Cthulhu or Traveler

    FG License: FGU Ultimate License.

Time Zone: Central European Time (CET), GMT +1, but currently (daylight savings time) GMT +2.

Day(s) of Week, Frequency, and Time: I’m would prefer Sundays and I’m looking for a weekly game. I already run games on Tuesdays and Thursdays so those days are of.

    Term: I would prefer a Long-term campaign.

Voice: Voice chat is OK. I use Discord but I can install and use whatever the group is using.

Video: I’m OK with video, if everyone else is. I find that it’s both a help and a hinderance. It helps understand everyone else, since you can read the body language. It does hinder immersion, IMO. If I as a GM is portraying an elderly woman, trying to sound like one, it helps that I cannot be seen...

Game System Preferred: Basic Roleplaying, Call of Cthulhu and Traveler.

Game System Experience: I started playing RPGs in the early 80s. My first game was The Fantasy Trip (the ancestor of GURPS), but I quickly moved on to RuneQuest. Since then, I’ve also played Call of Cthulhu, Harnmaster, and Traveler, almost as a GM. For my own FGU campaigns I use a modified version of Basic Roleplaying.

Fantasy Grounds Experience: I started using FGC in 2010 and ran a campaign for about two years or so before it died out. I have been using FGU weekly (as a GM) the last three years. During all these years I have done quite a bit of modding.

Character Type Preferred: I’ve been a forever GM for most of my years of playing roleplaying games. The characters I have enjoyed have been quirky ones, anti-hero like. I’m not so into this “we are the heroes” stuff. I tend to write up deep, detailed background stories for my characters and I like settings that support such stories.
I prefer roleplaying over combat, I never really been into the tactical part of combat.

    About Me:
My name is Peter, and I live in Sweden. As I wrote above, I’ve been into RPGs since the early 80s. I’m in the mid fifties and work as a senior software developer. I’d like to think of myself as easy going and tolerant. I’m not a native English-speaking guy but both my current games are run in English, and I think it works quite well. I also have a bad hearing, but with a pair of good headphones that is not so much of a problem.

I don’t like rules-lawyering, I can understand that at the time it can seem important, but it usually isn’t and besides the rules are not rules but guides.

I’m not interested in paid games.

If you are running a game or plan to start one and is looking for a player, give me a DM.
