    Beta Release - FG v4.5.10 and Ruleset Updates 2024-08

    The latest ruleset updates are now in beta testing.

    As always, we're a small company so we rely on our community to help sound out each new release. Thanks in advance to all those who pitch in.

    Accessing the Beta
    Only the Test mode slot contains this version. Test Mode can be accessed by selecting the Settings button from the Fantasy Grounds launch screen, changing the mode setting in the Settings dialog, and then selecting Update button to update the files to the test version. I will update this thread as I release new iterations of the test version.

    Beta Data
    When using the Test channel in Fantasy Grounds Settings, your data files for the Test version will be stored in a separate subfolder under the main Fantasy Grounds data folder called "channels\Test\". This will not impact any campaigns in the Live mode (until full release occurs).

    Key Things
    1) Always backup your campaign data before running the test version.
    2) If the GM is running on Test channel, then all of the players will also be running on Test channel.
    3) If you encounter an issues log them in the relevant testing thread - don't use the generic House of Healing, but use this forum.
    4) Do not use the Test build for your games if you and your group are not comfortable with testing pre-release software.
    5) Do not use the Test build for developer DLC for store or forge submission (as the data file formats may have changed, or will change more during the beta).

    NOTE: If you run into any errors, please disable all extensions to see if you get the same errors. If so, please report to the extension developer. It is expected that many extensions will be broken with this beta release.

    Application Changes
    • Modernized launcher screen.
    • New dice packs.
    • Category information for GM shared records passed to player clients.
    • Asset search was not searching folder names. Fixed.
    • Some control display frames getting incorrectly clipped when margins used near edge of window. Fixed.
    • Exception when attempting to set planned movement while multiple tokens selected. Fixed.
    • Setting animated images for both token Flat and Camera views would not switch correctly when changing image view modes. Fixed.
    • Text widgets used wrong transparency value when first displayed. Fixed.
    • Magnetic snap to active line-of-sight points not working correctly during line-of-sight creation. Fixed.
    • Exported image files were sometimes blurry. Fixed.
    • Vertically rotated text widgets would appear wavy at certain UI scales. Fixed.
    • Images with token metadata would incorrectly set lighting enabled when added to a new image record. Fixed.
    • [DEV] Interface - openRemoteWindow(sClass, sRecord) API added
    • [DEV] Interface - Leading # removed from getFontColor API result to match other color APIs.
    • [DEV] Token text widgets would not always be black, regardless of specified color. Fixed.
    • [DEV] bitmapwidget.sendToBack would cause widget display issues. Fixed.
    • [DEV] genericcontrol.getAsset did not return any value. Fixed.


    Ruleset Changes
    • [CoreRPG+] Modernized core theme.
    • [CoreRPG+] Standardized combat tracker window menu and theming support.
    • [CoreRPG+] Customize NPC non-damage dice.
    • [CoreRPG+] Migrated icons in sidebar campaign lists to match window menus.
    • [CoreRPG+] Moved record unidentified name field to record header.
    • [CoreRPG+] Added Pictures tab to Item, NPC, and Vehicle records.
    • [CoreRPG+] Double-clicking on CT token will bring image window to the top of the display stack.
    • [CoreRPG+] When centering on token via CT double-click, turn option, or other button; token will be automatically selected.
    • [CoreRPG+] Clicking Picture tab fields for picture/token will open Asset Preview window.
    • [CoreRPG+] Clicking asset on hot key bar will open Asset Preview window.
    • [CoreRPG+] Dragging asset to chat window will share with players (host) or open Asset Preview (player).
    • [CoreRPG+] Dragging Asset view window picture will drag direct asset reference.
    • [SW] Integrated Load Limit house rule extension into ruleset.
    • [CoreRPG+] Changing Assets window view type would not update next/prev page buttons. Fixed.
    • [CoreRPG+] Attempting to delete a Shared Asset via button would sometimes open shared asset instead. Fixed.
    • [DEV][CoreRPG+] LibraryData options updated, and updated comments in CoreRPG LibraryData script.
