Pointer Color Being Separated from Dice Color?

I really think pointer color should be an option to set independent of the dice.

    Can this get separated?

Here's my test case this afternoon that brought this to light for me.

While trying to work on a dark map for a night time scenario I was trying to use the pointer, but the pointer was black. Well my dice was the blood dice so that was my first thought of "that is weird. Why is the pointer color depending on the dice selected or the dice color?"

If you use the dice pack dice , at least in my FGU for 5e (and its updated as of today 3/14) you are SOL for even selecting a color that influences the map pointer.

If you use the default dice then the color of the dice will be the color of the pointer but what is nice looking to help you see it on a map pointer doesn't really mean it looks "cool" as a dice color. For instance yellow on my night time is a Godsend for my bad eyes to see my pointers, but yellow (IMO) looks horrid for dice color.

    my 2 cents.

    Thanks.

I'm still on 4.4.9, but they are different...
Dice color are controlled on the Dice UI. The pointer and "character" color are controlled in Options via the "Color: Active character" setting.

This is still true in 4.5.1 as well.

Here are a couple of screen shots showing where to change things.

The result (blue dice, black pointer):

In this case, it's more about using the right tool for the job.

In this case using Greenshot does most of the work for me.

It lets me take a capture of a region of the screen, then open it in a rudimentary editor that allows me to draw boxes, arrows, place text, highlight areas of the capture, obfuscate things if necessary, rotate, crop, and other tools.

Then it has an option to upload to Imgur.

From there, it's a simple matter of getting the URL of the picture, and putting it inline using the proper tags for the forum software, almost all forum software uses . This will make the image appear inline, instead of as an attachment.

For example, this post is setup like this:

The Greenshot interface is pretty simple and easy to use:

You can also right-click your portrait and select "Set Color" (South-East position in radial menu) if you'd rather not go through Options.
