Dungeon Alchemist map settings vs. FG Reccomended size
Hi,
does anybody know how to match DA settings so that the exported map is consistent with FG reccomendations about quality and size?

A map with 8x6 squares exports a webp file of about 4Mb. So that's well within the FG recommendation. So you can go a little bigger. One with 23x16 grids gives us a webp of 23Mb which is a bit large.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

The main thing to keep an eye on is the pixel dimentsions of a static image (i.e. not a webm video). The recommendation for these is roughly 4,000 x 4,000 pixels (16 million pixels total).
Details here: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassia...uct+Guidelines
So, in the Dungeon Alchemist export - pay attention to the Image Quality and Export Size. Open up a calculator app and multiple the export size, in the example below 29 x 22, to get the total number of grid squares and then multiple by the Image Quality DPI *twice* (for the two sides of the square) - in this case 29 x 22 x 150 x 150 = 14,355,000 (14.4 million) pixels which is within the 16 million pixel recommendatation.
If you're using WebM videos - the guidelines page doesn't specifically list these, but in other threads the recommendation has been HD video (1080p) which is approximately 2 million pixels.
Private Messages: My inbox is forever filling up with PMs. Please don't send me PMs unless they are actually private/personal messages. General FG questions should be asked in the forums - don't be afraid, the FG community don't bite and you're giving everyone the chance to respond and learn!
