    Kineticist Impulses

Do these only exist in the individual class feature/feat descriptions?

I was kinda expecting to find them as spells but no dice.

Spells will only include entries that Paizo specifically list as spells. The kineticist is quite a departure from the norm for a magically related class, and Paizo say that impulses aren't spells: "Impulses are magical, and though they aren’t spells..."

I am aware they aren't spells, I just wondered if they might have been put in the spells list to provide some automation for their effects.

Since they weren't, I'm assuming Kineticist impulses aren't going to get any automation until the project to automate all the activities reaches Rage of Elements?

On a semi-related note, is it also fair to assume that vitality and void damage won't be officially supported until the Remaster stuff is available? I know Rage of Elements is in a weird place where it is pre-Remaster but includes some Remaster rules.

Vitality and void damage are already implemented as they were damage types mentioned in Rage of Elements.

If we are insisting not to add them to spells, even though we as players have been doing that for ages since that has been the only place to do these sort of checks and actions, then is there a reason no automation was done for Kineticist Impulses in the activities ? Since they are actions added by feats they should be programmed in there right?

Instead it feels like I paid a good portion of money to get a bunch of text copied from the PDF and a little bit of basic class leveling things that are full of errors.

I'd second that it would be nice to see impulses automated somewhere, at least.

I bought Rage of Elements purely so I wouldn't have to automate the kineticist class myself. If I had known it wasn't fully (or even mostly!) automated, I wouldn't have bothered.

I'll reach out to the dev for this product. When this was being developed the R19 activities weren't available, so that now gives us more options. I'll ask the dev to consider the best way forward.

If there are specific errors, not missing automation, please raise those in the Generic DLC issues thread.

In the meantime, how is everyone automating Elemental Blast? I can't figure out how to get the attack bonus right when inputting it as an Activity. I think I can get it working right when I add it as a Weapon on the Actions tab, though.

EDIT: Here is what I did:

I created a Weapon on the Actions tab for my melee elemental blast, and another for my ranged elemental blast (so I can put my range increment for my ranged and my STR Mod damage for melee). I manually set the dice/heighten damage based on my level.

I created an Elemental Blast Activity and gave it two Effects (both apply to Self):
    1. DMGBASETYPE if I want to switch to the blast's other damage type
    2. DMG: [CON] if I am using two actions to cast it.

Did the automation get added to it now that the remaster is out in the wild?
