Both editions of Star Trek Adventures use the same ruleset, so either edition rulebook should do. Also, Modiphius will provide a copy of the pdf for books bought on Fantasy Grounds: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forum...l=1#post744536

In the steam page of Captain's Log, the phrase that informs the ruleset requirement is missing and it already caused a confusion for someone (maybe because it says standalone) who gave a negative review.
