Unidentified Item Description/Notes Source
Hello! I was just wondering if there is any specific location or source that the notes/description of unidentified items in official modules comes from? Does WotC provide SmiteWorks with these descriptions or does some really creative person at SmiteWorks make them up? Thanks!

If you are talking about the ones in the DMG then some really creative person (me) made them up a very long time ago. That is in the cases where there wasn't any kind of useful description given in the text of the item. Where such text is given then that is used. To be honest I can't remember what was done in other books but it probably followed the same general pattern. Or the description was left off altogether.
