LFP (Need 4 /6 Players) MON 6PM-10PM PST USA 5E Eberron Campaign Setting

FG License: GM has Full License so players don't need one.
    Game System: D&D 5E

Time Zone: Pacific Time USA, etc.
Day of week and time: Mondays 6 PM - 10 AM
Start date: As soon as we get 4 players
Planned Duration & Frequency: 4 Hour sessions most weekly
Term: Play-Testing on Fantasy Grounds. Once I figure things out and we finish our story arc, I'll be going pay to play.

    Text or Voice: Voice Only
    Voice software used: Discord
Streaming is a possibility. To be determined.

Roleplay & Combat mix: Heavy RP and Heavy Combat
Number of Players in game & needed: 6 Slots available, at least 2 Players needed to play
Character starting level & equipment: 1st Level, Starting Equipment + 1 Uncommon Item
Character restrictions: No joke characters, characters must be similarly aligned
    a
Details of your scenario: Players will help determine the direction of this campaign. Due to having a set campaign setting, we can get reasonably "sandboxy", but will have a general direction once characters get into a groove. I've been playing for 20 years and DMing for about 15 years, so I'm decent at improvising. Again, this campaign will be used to familiarize myself with FGU. My Dungeon Mastering style is serious, but light-hearted when appropriate. I love interesting characters, but there is no room for joke characters in my games. I find rules lawyers to be an asset as long as they understand their place as a player and beginning players are welcome. I take pride in being dependable and expect the same from my players. Life happens of course. As a husband and a father of four, I understand the occasional missed game, but communication is a must. I prefer players that are willing to voice their characters, but at the very least need to role play.

Hey, I'm interested and free on Mondays. You said no joke characters. I have been known to play the big dumb paladin. He will be a great asset to the team, but a character like Grog from Vox Machina. I tend to bring some humor with every character I build. But they will all be real great assets

Hi, if this game is not too far in an still has an open slot for a player, I am interested and available!

I've read the Eberron book but never played in the setting before and always wanted to. Also new to Fantasy Grounds but I have been wanting to learn it better as a player before potentially trying to run a game in it and I have watched a few tutorial videos about it (my VTT experiences so far have been limited to TableTop Simulator with Discord for audio so I am used to that).

Anyway, I've played ttRPGs for many years almost entirely in person before the pandemic, with about 50/50 GMing versus playing, and I have a good understanding of 5eD&D mechanics but no ego and I'm good team player who likes to work collaboratively and share spotlight. I enjoy roleplaying and voicing characters in addition to challenging tactical combat involving tough choices or interesting objectives or priorities beyond always just “attack monster until dead” and repeat. 5e provides just about the right degree of “crunchy” rules mechanics for my taste, while also keeping things relatively streamlined and manageable.

LMK if there is still a spot open!

    Hi BFGriffith,

We just filled the last slot a few days ago. If a slot opens up again, I could contact you, if you like.

    Thanks for expressing your interest,
