Increase the Size of the Distance Label on Pointers

Does anyone have an extension to control the size of distance labels on pointers or to make it scale with zooming out. I have a large battle coming up and wanted to see if I can make it easier so we don't have to zoom all the way in to see the measurements haha
Im also comfortable delving into files if someone knows where I should look. Thanks!
