Can't connect to GM's game, hangs when attempting to connect
Hello,
I'm trying to connect to a new game of Dnd 5e. I can connect to my other GM's game DnD 5e without issues but on this new game, it seems that I am unable to establish a connection to start downloading the files and pop into the campaign. GMs game loads on his side, other players can connect. My husband also has a character and cannot connect with his PC, the same issue happens where the game doesn't load.
I have played in a different game with this GM but we were all players and someone else was hosting and GMing the game.
The GM is also able to connect to a game if I am hosting the campaign. It's just the reverse that's not working.
Here are the logs from today's attempt to connect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have no idea what's going on.
Thank youLast edited by ktina.miller; September 12th, 2022 at 20:14.

I am seeing these error messages in the player logs:
[9/12/2022 1:32:34 PM] Noble Connect [43047]: Socket receive operation was interrupted, likely due to the socket being closed
This means that something external to the FG program is closing/blocking the network connection between the GM and player computers. Since it is occurring outside the application, we don't receive any information from the operating system or the network about why a connection was closed/blocked. The usual suspects are firewalls, parental controls, ad/internet filtering on the machine, SPI filtering on the router, or sometimes "advanced security" features by the Internet provider.
Here is a wiki article on the things you can look at on your network:

Also, if you or the GM are using Comcast/Cox, make sure that the "Advanced Security" option is disabled on your account.
