effects question
Is there a way to create DISATK on all attacks except by a certain weapon? This was a cursed weapon.
I created an EFFECT- DISATK;[SELF][ActionOnly]
Then using AE put ADVATK;[SELF][ActionOnly] on the weapon in question.
My hope was that they would cancel each other when the proper weapon was used and be DISADV when using any other. This doesn't work. All of the correct CT info and chat output is there, but the dice rolls are unaffected.
Is there a proper way to deal with this? If at all. I found nothing in the Tut's or other posts in 3 days of looking. This is in 5E BTW.

As you can see from the screenshot this should work (I don't know what AE is but I can guess what it does). But without the extension it works. Either you haven't created the effects properly (note the colon at the end of the keyword), or some other extension is interfering. The chat output should show as in my screenshot.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

The DISATK effect does not support notion of weapon type or category as per the 5E ruleset documentation: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassia...ced+Automation
It support melee and ranged attacks, but not weapon. Unless there is something implemented and not documented, you have to handle this manually. The past is a rudder to guide us, not an anchor to hold us back.

Thanks for the replies,
I "think" that I'm on the right track here. I'm pretty sure the colons missing are the issue. Back to the drawing/testing board.
Thanks again
****** Yep, it was the missing colons that was the culprit ****** Thanks againLast edited by Weepdrag; September 2nd, 2022 at 17:23.
