    Yes, you can pick and chose things, but that's going to be time consuming. And time consuming means you might get bogged down in creating everything that you never get to run the campaign itself. Creating is fun, but playing is funner!

    I would start with a rulesystem that is already complete and usable in FG. Again, I'm big into creating as little as possible to accomplish the goal. I'm not familiar with many of the rulesystems available in FG, or even in the wider RPG world (most of the ones I know are old!)

    Because I know D&D 5E so well, that's where I would start. Its is a relatively uncrunchy and simple system (though still allowing complexity). Other possibilities/recommendations include Pathfinder & Savage Worlds. PF is 'more crunchy' and you are familiar with it, and Savage World already allows for many settings and flavors.

    Then I would take that ruleset and only re-flavor it instead of change it up. i.e. use the character stats and mechanics rather than implementing your own. At least to start with. For instance, this site has something of an adaptation of Hyrule into D&D 5E, but adds extra traits or abilities (magic points, stamina points, called shots) that I would not add. At least not until you are up and playing and find you need them and have time to figure out how to write an extension for FG to change the character sheet.

    Besides reading all this stuff we have already linked, I would look to get into a couple of one shots using the different systems. See what you think feels more Zelda to you (and keeping in mind much of the flavor will depend on the GM).

    Here are a few quick google links that look promising for playing Zelda in D&D 5E;

    Thank you kindly,

    yeah I like the idea of having something that is already structured that I can just add things I want in. I think I will go with D&D 5E and/or Pathfinder then if it is included in my license

    I have seen someone playing Zelda using D&D 5e on twitch. There is a wiki for the rules as well https://dandwiki.com/wiki/Hyrule_(5e_Campaign_Setting) - but you could use any system to play Zelda - Savage Worlds, D&D (any edition) - Old School Essentials if free and pretty easy to understand - https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/199/view

    thank you Damned and Jiminimonka!
    I think I will use 5E and use that Hyrule 5E as a resource to add or take away from.
    Much appreciated

    I'm trying to find the 5E Handbook, is it included in the Ultimate License?

    The basic rules and 5e SRD are included. Open a new 5e campaign and the go to library then modules and then click the load button under whichever you want. It will then be available in the library window. Both of those are cut down versions of the Player’s handbook which is a separate purchase.
    If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php
