    Ranged Attacks via Powers

When I link a power to a ranged weapon and then make an attack roll from the power, it makes the attack as a melee attack although the weapon is set to ranged.
This seems to be a ruleset bug.

    EDIT: I was wrong.

Sorry for the late reply. Is it just linking a power to a ranged weapon? Just wanted to verify any steps to try and replicate this issue.

Thanks for the reply Dominic! Here are some step by step images that should help:

View showing weapon 3 is ranged:

View showing powers are linked to weapon 3 (I also tried putting 3 in the per-power weapon field):

I'd suggest looking at the getRollStructures function of string_powerdesc.lua as it seems to be the origin of that roll.

I don't know the 4E ruleset well, but it appears to be looking for ranged/melee/etc from a field that doesn't exist.

No worries. Glad you found the source. I had added to the queue to look at; but it was a little ways off for me still.
