    Fantasy Grounds Custom Modules

I am trying to build my own module for a new game that came out recently. I wanted to make a Character sheet that matches the pen and paper. How do you make custom Character sheets so I can build it the way that would work in Fantasy Grounds Unity like any other module?

MOD: moved to Armory, that's the place for these discussion

Actually you would either need to make an extension or a complete ruleset if you want to control the graphical layout. You can make a basic character sheet for any game system using CoreRPG. Or you can create one with more custom roll types available with the community MoreCore ruleset. Either one you can make a custom theme (which is an extension) that allows you to control the graphics and layout. If you want to have automation or custom database fields, then you would need to make an extension or complete ruleset using xml and LUA scripting.

I suggest you take a look at some of the character sheets on the forums for CoreRPG and see how close those get to what you want. Then check out MoreCore and the numerous theme/extensions available for it. Then decide after you are familiar with those how much you might want to create your own custom extension to get the character sheet to look like the printed one.

[Thank you for moving. I did not realize it was the wrong place. And thank you for the information. I will look through those before deciding if I want to make an extension. Is there information how to begin coding those anywhere?

    Hi Tycomaru

I would look at the Ruleset Wizard and at MoreCore
Both of them will require you to distill the actual mechanics down into their most basic forms so that you can determine the best ways to implement them.
The Ruleset Wizard will give you complete control over how they work/look but will require more work. MoreCore may have the require dbuilding blocks already available and you may just need to work out which ones and how you want them to work.
