It seems like my characters are missing...

It looks like my characters aren't loading or are missing or deleted. This is the error I get when I try to load my campaign. All of my modules and stuff seem to be fine. Probably 3-4 characters missing right now. Hopefully someone can help

But we'll need more details like is this a campaign you have moved from Classic to Unity; or from Unity Test to Live - or has this just happened or as much details as to what is happening as possible. Also might be worth posting a screenshot of the contents of the campaign folder - make sure that you show all the details including the dates files were modified and their size.

No migration, straight FGU. Live only. It just happened on its own.

Close FG
rename db to dbold
copy db.session.20210530 to a new file
rename the copy as db

start FG and load your campaign
if it happens with that file repeat the process with the next newest file

dont rename the session files. make a copy of them and rename the copies.

Woo! That worked Any idea what was making it do that? The only extension I had on was Syrinscape Sounds.

you may have exited the application incorrectly, the application may have crashed on exit, the application may have failed to save the file correctly, antivirus may have interfered with it writing to disk.

i cant tell you what did happen, only that the file was no longer valid xml and so it was rejected by FG.

Are you using any active sync/backup or cloud sync applications on your live FG data?
