Light source overlap suggestion
I think when two light sources overlap the overlap should just be the brighter of the two (or just stick with one if they are equal) and not additive. The additive effect doesn’t look “realistic” and it’s a little jarring. E.g. in a room of candles the peripheral overlap is suddenly bright light which makes no gaming sense or visual sense.
I know nothing of programming, so I don’t know if that’s possible (or if it’s there is a game mechanic reason this is so)

You can adjust the alpha of lights to make them merge in ways you might find more aesthetically pleasing to you.
