    Creatures with natural illumination

    Just confirming that in 4.1 creature/NPC vision is implemented automatically, but creatures that shed light (fire elementals, fire beetles, etc.) have to have the token light manually added (either in the map editor or via an effect)?

    It should be easy to add effects for all of the creatures I intend to use in a given session, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

    Yes, you'll need to add effects for those yourself. I think creatures with stuff like darkvision may work (I haven't tested that) but anything which doesn't conform to that won't have any automatic illumination.

    When I tested with the aforementioned fire beetle, its blindsight was automatic, but I had to do the dim glow from its glands manually. No big deal, just need to be ready with the proper effect.
