3D character in FG
I was reading a post further down about 3D. While the logisitcs would be time consuming and not worth it, I always thought it would be cool if you could render your character in a 3D avatar that you could custom outfit and custom appearance like the MMO's do when you create your character. Like the way DDO does it and you could spin your character in a 360 degree circle. Would that be possible with Unity?

Absolutely it's possible with the Unity Engine. There are many Unity games that do just what you are talking about to one degree or another.
As for it happening in FGU, I doubt it's anywhere near the top of the priority list for the devs. Add it to the Wish List if it's not already there. If it gets enough votes, then the devs would prioritize it.
