I just got my dice and have been playing with them. Hoping that we can get them integrated into FGU at some point, having a way to roll my dice in game would be fantastic. Until then, I will be impressing the table with my dancing light display whenever I roll a 20.

I’d love to see FG support this!

Hell, I’d buy you guys some dice if it means you’ll do it

Here’s a link to their Unity library which you could integrate into FGU’s source: https://github.com/GameWithPixels/PixelsUnityPlugin

The plugin is not fully cross-platform yet.

Ah well that would indeed make it tricky. I do wonder though if we could somehow use a desktop app for Pixels dice that listens for the roll and then sends that to the current FG game. Or maybe a custom app where you give it your FG game’s connection information and then it sends the rolls to it. It would mean adding something on the network code for FG to accept rolls from the app, and a way to wait for the incoming roll on say the Manual Rolls window.

The bare minimum would be pretty easy; Combine the manual dice entry with a web hook in FGU for dice roll entries.
The phone app for the Pixel Dice can be setup to call a web hook for each rolled result. Then just let the web hook calls fill in the result for any open manual dice entry field.
When there are multiple dice rolls required, just keep filling in.

It would be nice if one could easily cancel a die roll entered this way though. Perhaps by adding an X button under each manual dice roll field. Just in case a die roll was wrongly detected.

The web hook would need a way to 'filter' on die type (d4/d6/etc.). Which could easily be done by making that number a sort of filter in the url of the web hook.

Sure, this isn't very user friendly. But I think it should be a quick win. It could be developed without owning any such dice. And it doesn't require embedding libraries for each sold brand.
A nice to have would be a way to tell FGU which kind of dice you'd want to roll this way. I, for example, only have a d20 pixel.
