Connected with this today after having issues with VB player and the Audio cables for months and it works great.

For anyone interested, I edited the first post and have posted on Youtube a new tutorial. This one uses the Fantasy Player not the Online Player and is significantly easier to setup and quite a bit faster when you play sounds since they are from a local source instead of their web interface.

I realized the Syrinscape web interface is more for creating content and also if your players all download the online player, where the fantasy player is for local use and works great for this usage.

    Any comments are welcome!

Nice update. I agree with your comments about the fantasy player for local use. I still have not really embraced the online player and don't want my players to have to download syrinscape online to hear. So, I do think this version of your tutorials will work best for most folks. Nice job!

One question: I feel that tis will work wonders with playing mood music etc for me and the players. How does this work with the audiotriggers within FGU and syrinscape? IE: How does the sound of one of my players casting a fireball (Whoosh Boom sound) get played for all. Will I have to do it manually, or is there some way to get the FGU audiotrigger to play to all?

Assuming you have AudioOverseer or similar, It gets played for all, automatically. You can also go into the soundboard and fire off individual sounds whenever you want.

SweetSwede, as long as you have the option to show DM rolls to the players, using Audio Overseer will let them hear all the sounds for any spells or attacks or triggers as long as the text shows up in the chat. I had to code in my quite a few of my own sounds and triggers for a lot of additional spells, but I am starting to get quite a list of spells and effects like arrows flying and missing or hitting or critical hitting, or swords / melee weapons the same way. Once you setup those audio triggers you like, you can export them and share them to all your campaigns.

Have an issue I can't figure out. Fantasy player is running and output in mixer is set up as CABLE input. However I can hear it coming from my normal speakers and nothing seems to be coming through the Discord Audio pipe. The pipe is connecting to the bot OK.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
