Sanity Check on a "card" based inspiration system.
I am looking at introducing my players to a "card" based inspiration system (For 5E) and need a sanity check on how I'm implementing it in FG.
1. I plan to have about 40-50 "cards" weighted by rarity (Common/Uncommon/Rare) entered as a table in FG.
2. I will still use the inspiration counter on the character sheet, set to 3 inspirations. This way I can limit/track who has cards.
3. I want the players to have a virtual card they have to present to use. So I am entering each inspiration as an item. This will also allow the players to trade cards, if they want.
A picture is worth a thousand words: image_2021-01-11_162319.png
Is there an easier/better way I can do this? Really just trying to make sure I'm on the right track before I go entering a bunch of info only to find out I should have done something different.

Yes, either items or images should work fine.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

It looks great. Where will they cards be kept on the character sheet? Inventory tab? Were you inspired by 4E fortune cards?

I'm making the cards inventory items, but will still use the inspiration tracker to limit them to 3 cards. So the cards will appear in the player's inventory. Never played 4E. My friends and I started with 1E/2E and never really saw the need to invest in other editions. I stepped away from the game for a few years and came back in 5E (Not a lot of people left playing that have 1E/2E materials).
I got this idea from the following reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/dndnext/com...iration_cards/
I'm not really going to use his rules for them, but I will definitely swipe some ideas. I think he's got a good idea but I'm going to put my own spin on it.
@Zachaeus - Thanks for the validation, appreciate it!
