I don't understand in the vision range what is the Near / Far and Falloff.... and darkness toggle.
Somebody can help?
By the way I am impressed by the system, I really like it a lot!Last edited by *Neuro*; May 14th, 2021 at 07:57.

Ok ... I'll eat my words. But just in case I will search for any news on HL4.... just in case.
It was a surprise the the new dynamic lighting was released last night - akin to a bolt out of the blue - I was expecting a day or two announcement, that way I could be ready for the games that I run.
However with the sudden release, about 30mins scrambling around sorting the characters out, learning the commands and setting up lighting we were up and running.
The game ran very well - no performance issues from the players - it ran very smoothly.
A+ for in my mind a successful release.
Only comment from me is regarding the players preview mode. I would prefer a toggle rather than holding the CTRL+P key down. i.e. switch it on/off. Even better if it could toggle/cycle through what the players see, what then NPC's see - maybe use the combat tracker grouping? (GM only).
The other thing would be to offer the toggle/cycle as a command so you can function key it.....Ultimate License

I seem to remember that it was talk about implementing low light vision. And implementing a blinded condition that limits the player vision to 0.
Does anybody know/remember if this is being worked on?

Yeah, so ran a session last night, after scrambling around learning all the controls an hour before we began. We suddenly had a fight in the middle of the night around a campfire. The lighting was awesome, especially for those that did not have darkvision, it made everything more eerie as my players were asking, where the heck is the hill giant, I can hear him but can't see him. The flickering is a great effect as well.
Overall a great success and had zero issues that weren't fixable, due to a lack of understanding. It makes me even more glad I bought and invested in Fantasy Grounds vs other VTT.
