I have to ask - what are these forum titles that keep changing under my forum name?

Ever since I joined the forums in May/June time frame of this year the title under my name keeps changing. It seems to change about once every couple weeks. Is this just some sort of random name in a sequence or is there some meaning behind it?

It is to do with the number of posts you make and your reputation.

You can see your reputation in your profile or mousing over the little green dots. Basically people give you reputation based on posts they like etc. You can give people reputation using the little star icon at the bottom of each post. Your 'rank' depends on the number of posts made.

If you post good things you sometimes get good rep from readers, if you post bad things, you sometimes get bad rep from readers.

Reputation is handed out by other forum users. It's the button to the right of the IP along the bottom of your post.
