Ship combat & Science officer
Hello all! First of all, I want to thank the devs for all the hard work they have been doing on the automation of starship combat!! It's such a major improvement. My group returned after a long haitus to find the new combat system had been added, and we were blown away by it. We had almost given up on s.s. combat up to this point, but I decided to check it out and it went pretty smoothly, so much respect for you guys.
One issue we noticed, however, was that the science officer's actions seem to ONLY affect their own ship as the target. Whenever my S.O. hit scan, it never allowed us to designate a target, or we had no idea for how she should do this. We cannot drag and drop the skill check on to a ship, it doesn't allow picking up of the dice at all.
I'm sorry if this duplicates another post, but my searching did not turn anything up as of yet. Thank you so much for your hard work.

Ships unfortunately don't interact with checks as they haven't been fully fleshed out. You may find road blocks like this when it comes to Ship Combat and may require the GM to do a bit of leg work. It is something that may come in a future update.
