Extension to Core that allows a text string to indicate rolling multiple dice

As the title said, I would like to have an extension that allow me to have "step13" roll d12+d10 as well as many other combinations. I've searched and browsed the forums, but this may be too basic to be asked often.

I'd probably implement as a slash handler. There are some examples in the ChatManager script in the CoreRPG ruleset. (scripts/manager_chat.lua)
