Yes, if you have your squares set to less than 10 there will be issues.

Okay, that's a good observation; I'm going to give this a try. I have my next session on Wednesday. I'll try to get somebody to help me test it by then, but if anything I will know Wednesday night.
Thanks, Moon Wizard and JohnD. I'll post again after I mess around with the grid sizes a little bit.
Edit: Thanking JohnD also (didn't see second page)Last edited by Egon Spengler; July 28th, 2020 at 03:48.

Well everyone, it seemed to work.
My group and I played the entire session without the software lagging or freezing on the map. I ended up taking my very large maps and splitting them into pieces. Then blowing up those sections to a larger resolution so that I could bump the grid size. I normally wouldn't have the grid size so small, but in my campaign I shrunk my players. So they're about the size of ants right now. I was trying to get the grid size down to make the huge, normal-sized cavern that they were in more scary to transverse (nothing like walking in a huge cavern when you have 60 feet of light and nothing but darkness in all directions after that). In the end I guess it's not as feasible as I was thinking. That's okay, though, with the tweaks that I made, it's a solid middle ground.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my issue, I truly appreciate it.
Cordially,
Egon Spengler

Thanks for following up; and letting us know that seems to be the issue. It's good to know for any future users running into similar situations.
