I could post this in the C&C forum but everyone there already has it.
If you have never played C&C its a nice D&D variant and one that Gary Gygax was involved in - at least around the edges.
Its an old school D&D system with some nice rule changes that smooth out a lot of the tedious mechanics of the older systems.

I like that it includes a book of short stories. Even if I don't end up playing C&C the fiction will be a welcome diversion
