Map Creation: Isometric or Top Down?

    Hello all,

I'm in the process of writing a small D&D adventure that I'm considering publishing, probably on https://www.dmsguild.com (if it turns out any good!), and also here on FG. In the process I need to make a few battle maps. I'm wondering about the correct format for those maps.

Should I build them with cool 3D isometric stamps, or stick to 100% 2D, top-down battle maps?

Thanks for any advice or comments
    Blakey

2D top down since isometric maps are not supported in FGC.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

    I prefer top down.

In general: Top down is probably easier to use at the moment, especially when one uses FGC; but I prefer isometric maps, and therefore I personally hope for more support for these in the future But also with support one needs assets to use, thence, why not be one of the first publishing adventures for isometric stuff?

(But, honestly, use top down for the moment, I'd wait for better support of isometric grids in FGU at the moment)
