    Map Question: New to FGU

I am new to FGU, and i am building maps and it is going well however i want to add static items in the map, chests, table chairs, horse and cart, campfires, torches, weapons racks, etc... I just do not know if i can do this, and how to do this, and where i can get those items from to import them.

Also how do you add text boxes to maps as well?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You'll need assets for whatever you want to add to your map in the form of tiles or tokens or whatever. Drag these into the map and place them as you would any other tile. There are some things like that in Shockbolts assets packs (and possibly in the others as well - I haven't really checked).

There is no text layer so you can't add text.
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

One option you could to for the 'adding text to maps' is to use Story pages and attach them to the map using pins. Like 'Room 1 - Entrance.. Text..' and you can drag that entry to the map and it will become a pin that you can hover over to see the text.

Look into the Vintyri Project. Huge collection of cartography assets.

Right now I find the FGU Editor rather unwieldy. For the time being I use a tools named Dungeondraft and Wonderdraft. If you got some bucks to spare, this will safe you a lot of time. Both tools allow custom assets, take a look here: https://www.cartographyassets.com/.

    I support ORC(L) and #opendnd!
