I'm trying to figure out basic modding stuff - and blog about it
Hi,
I'm currently dipping into understanding how to modify rulesets and write extensions - by looking at existing ones and trying stuff out. I'm not very far so far - but since I write everything up that I find out, I thought I might as well make it available. If you want to follow me on my journey: https://iso8859-1.github.io/

I sometimes do very minor tweaks, such as change the wording of a certain message that appears in the chat window. So I know not of the finer stuff. But I am curious. How do you test new code? Do you load FG every time? I was doing that and it was a painful experience.
BTW, you blog is awesome. Thanks for sharing.

spoofer you type /reload in chat and drag it to the F1 slot.
Then to test the code change you press F1.

Yeah, I do that with /reload, /console, /clear - just to make things a little easier.

The other one that is useful jackkerouac is /save so that the DB in memory is written to disk so you can see the change.
