    Switching between Live and Test

Quick question. If I log on, and hit update, everything seems to be fine. If I switch to Test, and then close back to the main launcher, it always tells me I have an update available. Once I do that update, if I switch back to Live, again.... it says I have an update available. This is on FGC and FGU.

Is this working as intended? Does switching the server actively change specific files that need to be overwritten based on server selected? Or is Live and Test it's own file/folder structure?

Live and Test often have both different rulesets and different engine and different DLC.

Live and test are not different "servers" they are different channels of code. It can be one or more of the following: different FG app, different ruleset(s) code, different DLC data.

So, yes, when you switch channel you’ll usually need to do an update.
