Trouble getting players to connect
So brand new to Fantasy Grounds due to moving F2F meeting to online.
I have v3.3.10 FG Ultimate version downloaded through Steam.
Trying to get a demo player to connect to my game.
I have followed Port Forwarding and gotten that opened up.
I am on CenturyLink Fiber. Actually then using a Google WiFi HotSpot.
Set up the Port Forwarding through my Google App for the Wifi.
When I run a connection test for my campaign I am now always getting a SUCCESS.
However my player is not able to connect. Whether I send the External IP address or the Alais.
What is going on?
Thanks

It's pretty unlikely that you would be able to successfully host a game on a mobile hotspot I think.
At any rate can you check that your network is set to private; that you have an exception in place for FG in your anti virus software. Can you also post a screenshot of a tracert 8.8.8.8If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

It is not a mobile hotspot. I am just using the Google Wifi System with multiple routers to boost the system throughout the house.
So the Google Wifi is what is generating our wireless network in the house.Last edited by Panzermeyer; March 21st, 2020 at 00:47.

Ok, sorry I misunderstood.
So you have two devices between you and the internet as shown on your tracert. So you'll need either to connect your computer directly to the one that connects to the internet (the last one in the chain) or you'll need to put the first device in bridge mode or you'll need to chain port forwarding from the first device to the second to your computer. If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

I do not believe that I can connect directly to the first device as that is a device for my Fiber connection. I wasn't given information on how to access that directly.
Should calling up centuryLink should they be able to help me directly link to it perhaps?

You can always try.

What other options might I have to resolve this?

I have CenturyLink fiber and the Google WiFi mesh system and am able to do port forwarding. But, I eliminated the CenturyLink device and the Google WiFi only. I followed this guide:
https://superuser.com/questions/1148...nk-fiber-modem
However, it’s not a trivial thing to do. I wouldn’t recommend it for most people. You should instead be able to get into the CenturyLink router. I know I was able to log into it and change settings when still used it. You might need to contact CenturyLink for access, but check it’s labels first. Some have login details right there.
If you can get into it, you might be able to set the main Google WiFi router as the DMZ host, which effectively forwards all ports to it. Then do port forwarding on Google as normal and you might be all set!
YMMV, good luck!

If you get a Connection Success then it should work. Please load a campaign and post your alias for us to test.
