Having a bit of trouble with dual type DRs
So I have a lich here in front of my part that's supposed to have DR15/Bludgeoning AND Magic, but also immunity to cold and electricity. One of the players has a magic spear (piercing) and a magic shield(Bludge) that both have cold damage on them too. The spear when deals upwards of 25ish damage with only 1 point being cold, the DR is blocking it completely. It's also blocking the shield.
So is there a particular way I should be putting in these dual DRs to make them actually work?

Your Lich should have the following effects:
DR: 15 bludgeoning, magic; IMMUNE: cold; IMMUNE: electricity
Capitalization is important in effects. The only way to overcome the DR you have listed is with a weapon that deals both bludgeoning and magic damage. It appears only the shield would overcome the DR. The spear would not. The spear only hits one of the requirements to over come the DR. If the PC is using the shield as a weapon, make sure the damage line includes the following:
bludgeoning, magic
The cold damage on the spear and shield should be added using a second damage line that is just 1 in the bonus field (or whatever die it is in the die field) with a damage type of cold placed on the type line.
Hope that helps sort your issues.Last edited by Blahness98; March 18th, 2020 at 14:41.
