After today's update there is no more fullscreen option on the background radial menu
I used to be able to put FGU into fullscreen mode on Windows 10 by right-clicking the background and selecting maximize. That option is no longer available after today's update.

Yes, that's correct. With the current version of Unity, there is no mechanism to determine whether a window is maximized via the system menu or not; so I disabled those menu options until we can find a way to determine that state. I did some research today, but no luck for now. Please use the Windows maximize button to maximize the window.

Ah, dang I really liked full screen mode. Hopefully you're able to add it back at some point. Thanks for the reply.

Sounds like you can still use full screen, you just have to use the operating system function and not the one inside FG.

Well, you can maximize, but that's not the same as actual full screen. On Windows at least, the title bar and Taskbar still take up their normal amount of space. You can have the Taskbar auto-hide itself, but I don't think you can do anything about the title bar.
But, this is totally OK since it's clearly a temporary thing. Especially now that /scaleui works, and works great! That's pretty much the one feature I've been waiting for before diving into FGU full-steam!

This worked perfectly for me in Windows 10 before the feature was removed.
1) Maximize window by double clicking on top.
2) Activate the full screen mode in FGU through the right-click menu.
I'd really like seeing it back, helped with the immersion during games and gave more screen space. Don't quite see why it was removed as it was working, at least on my end.
It was really nice to have the option between the windowed mode with borders and the full screen one.Extension writer, FGU Backer, Ultimate License holder.

did they remove the "screen.fullScreen" property from Unity, or are you using some version that doesn't have this? https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptRefer...ullScreen.html

Extensions = risk to your gaming experience. If you haven't tested out the extensions in your campaign before your gaming session, turn them off. If you don't backup your campaigns regularly, you're doing it wrong.

Patience, all. The two modes “were” the same; system bar did full window and were synched to FG behaviors. That’s not the case any longer; so I disabled until I can figure out how it all should work. Not worth delaying release schedule; so tabled for the moment. It will be revisited later.

Can you explain what you mean by 'were' the same? It has been found that FGU can still enter fullscreen mode without title/task bar just like FGC was, by editing the shortcut icon command line. So is there new features being lost in FGU that required windowed mode that people should be aware of if they do use fullscreen mode (aside the obvious loss of title/taskbar) ?
according to lasmela the command lines for windows would be (obviously change to your resolution!)
-window-mode borderless -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080
-window-mode exclusive -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080Last edited by yarnevk; November 28th, 2020 at 20:25.
