LFG 9pm-ish CST - old player but FG noob
Player Background (but also IC): I'm just logging in here and trying to see if I can play this game, so looking for a 20 minute test connection to begin with (does it even work on my system, can I learn to press the right buttons?) Was majorly addicted to DnD as a teen some decades back. Did some NwN more recently (a number of years but finally snapped out of it), and then World of Tanks (because shooting things is fun).
Availability: CST 9pm-1 weekdays, 10am-12pm weekends.
System: dunno, any? back in 'my day' all we had was basic and advanced, but I know that there are new rules now, probably better ones.
Characters: Any, within my dramatic range. I've done Dwarven Cleric, Human Mage (badly, but got to love the fireballs), Fighter, DM (back in high school), Fighter/Rogue (on NwN), Also, I ranked up to Sergeant in the 'Highlanders Clan' in Battletech 2076 (medium mech specialist).
Technical: I'll need a lot of help. Never used discord before (but have used Teamspeak). Never used online dice (but I do have real dice as a backup). Running mac OS 10.13 or 'High Sierra' as they call it (which always makes me laugh because it reminds of the Sierra character in the show 'The Affair').

Welcome Ableson Kaine
For the most part there are always going to be far more players than GMs.
Generally players that approach GMs have a much higher success rate of finding games.
