    Questions about FGU

Hi guys, I'm an Italian guy using macOS Catalina.

I Always loved D&D and when I saw FG I was literally shocked. I read some posts of the forum, and I have the following questions:

    1. I need a license so that I can host any game as DM and other PC can join even if they had not purchased FG. I think it's the ultimate license, right?

    2. can I buy today and then have the FGU as an upgrade?

    3. Does FGU run on macOS Catalina?

    4. To play on D&D 5ED, do I need to buy other things (i just have paper manuals)

    Thanks a lot

    Welcome

    1. Yes, with an Ultimate license your players do not need a license, they can play with the free/demo.
    2. Yes, but we don't know what the upgrade price will be. Personally, I would get the ultimate subscription now and then when FGU is release get the FGU one-time Ultimate license. FGU is expected (not promised) in December of this year.
    3. FGU is planned to run on MacOS Catalina. Their is currently a closed beta that is running, but it is on Windows only at the moment. But, FGU is planned to support Windows, Mac, and Linux.
    4. Nope, but you might want to. Read; https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forum...eed-to-play-5e

Ok i see. The only problem is that actually I’m using Catalina, nor i can make boot camp o second partition for Mojave. So i’ll wait for FGU and take the ultimate license.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply

If you wanted, their are ways to run FGC with parallels or other VMs, but, if that doesn't work for you, then we look forward to you joining us when FGU comes out

Make sure you sign up for the Newsletter so you know just when FGU is released. https://www.facebook.com/fantasygrou...0265896690345/

Is FGU going to be different with their interface and tools? I do fine ease of use to be a bit daunting compared to Roll20.

Read all about it and see videos here https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...tasy%20Grounds
If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php
