Click on the top level of the tree in the left and please provide a screenshot of that page - which should give an overview of the firewall settings.

GOT IT! There's another firewall attached to TAV called Web shield, I disabled the webshield and that seemed to stick. Thanks so much for everyone's time/patience and help!

It can be pretty difficult for the community to try to help out with all sorts of different security setups and config often hidden deep in menus. I know it's frustrating when all we can say is "Something is blocking the FG Classic updater on your computer" but not be able to give clear directions. Glad we got there in the end!
