Swapping maps
Some of the maps in the Dungeons & Dragons modules are somewhat lackluster. I was able to find some maps with improved graphics. The new maps are the same dimensions and layout as the originals (somewhere took the originals and added stuff, color, additional images for tables, statues, etc.). So is there a way to simply swap out the old map files with the new map files, so that the pins and the preset encounters are still accessible? Thanks.

No. Because the official modules are encrypted to protect the Intellectual Property.
You can add your new map to the campaign, but you will have to re-link everything and replace the NPC/encounter positions.
