I see there is a development API for this. Not that I have a lot of time and most days I don't want to do anymore coding than the 12 hours I do a day at work but maybe I will see if I can drum up some energy to explore writing an SR6 rule set edition. Provided I can understand the docs that tell you how to create rulesets.

There is a ruleset creation software I believe that would help.
My First Mod PFRPG - Feats Extended, focusing on PF1e Feats and Racial Traits automation. It is open to community assistance. Here is the forum Link.

I had thought Shadowrun was in 7th. But I see from a search it's in 6th. I have heard (and, really, all you know is what you hear) that 6th edition was basically unplayable.

For anyone looking to develop a ruleset, consider using Ruleset Wizard. It has given a non-coder hack like me a chance at developing my own ruleset (for Frontier Space). Ruleset Wizard – The ruleset development environment for Fantasy Grounds

Hey damned!
Yeah, but in a good way. Please don't get me wrong.
Also, about Shadowrun, I am not aware of another system with such fractured fanbase. Even here in Brazil, where we had localizations only for the 2nd, 5th, and (now) 6th editions, the fanbase is pretty dispersed. It's far from the optimal arrangement for a VTT...

Unfortunate for everyone. Players, company, 3rd party support.
Hopefully new editions of your game attract new players and keep your old players.
Doing neither is not a good strategy!
Ive only played 2 games of SR4 and that is it.
But some of my table are big fans of Shadowrun (again maybe not so much of the new version).
