Linking Tokens to NPCs
Hello Folks!!
I was wondering is it possible to link tokens to specific NPCs in an encounter so when you drag the NPC from the encounter list it generates a token, with link stats if possible, and not just a pushpin link with stats?
Thanks !

You can link tokens to any NPC in an encounter by dragging and dropping the token onto the existing token seen at the extreme left hand edge of the encounter line (not the tokens shown below the line). If you want several NPC of the same type to have different tokens then each NPC needs to be on a separate line in the encounter.
Tokens are only placed on the map via the combat tracker (or if an encounter is pre-placed when you click the place encounter button). Dragging an NPC from anywhere else will simply create a pin.
So, I suppose the answer is no you can't drag an NPC from an encounter and have it create a token; with or without stats. If there is something that you would like to see in Fantasy Grounds that isn't currently part of the software or if there is something you think would improve a ruleset then add your idea here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featu...rerequests.php

Keep in mind, unlike Roll20, tokens don't have data, they are only an image. NPCs have data and one of the data objects that they can contain is a token. Really ts just a change in what we call the item and what the top/parent object is.
