When I test, Classic via the IPv4 address. At this point it is only me testing using a second laptop (my work laptop). I am beginning to wonder if there is something on my work lap top that is preventing the connections. I don't have authorization to change any of the firewall or AV settings.

When I test Unity, through the lobby. What is going on with Unity and the "acquiring file list" issue? I have been testing regularly for a week and have only gotten through the one time earlier today for five minutes.

Where is your laptop in relation to your GM machine? Almost no router lets you go out and back in to another machine on the same network.

The laptop will need to direct connect to the local/internal IPv4 address.

If you post your alias we can test it for you.

Thanks, Damned. I know you're not going to believe me, but I finally connected to FGC! I had made a mistake in the port forwarding that finally dawned on me. With that said, I still had to use the ZeroTier VPN method that I found here on the forums to connect, but it was a breeze. That makes it look like the computers are in two different places, I guess. I am going to keep my fingers crossed and hope this works again tomorrow. I will have my players try too. If not, I am sure I will be back on here bugging you. This is all new to me, but I have learned a lot. And in my defense, it's been over 20 years since I had anything to do with networking, and even then it was minimal ha ha.

I am still going to keep my eye on the Unity issue with acquiring files because I really want to use it, but I can go with FG Classic for now. Thanks again for your help!

So here is my current puzzle. I am hosting Fantasy Grounds Classic for my GM. He and four of the five other players all connect fine. The fifth player times out connected to the game. On my side, I have 1802 port forwarded correctly. The connection test succeeds, and all but one connect fine. On the problem machine, to be safe we added Fantasy Grounds the Updater and the Update Engine executables to his McAfee white list and the Windows firewall, but he still couldn't connect. He also couldn't ping or tracert my IP, so I suspect there is some ISP blocking. Would PureVPN work to get around the busted ISP?

    Thanks in advance,
    Orophor

UPDATE: PureVPN worked for him, so I guess his ISP was to blame.

    Hey Orophor

Unfortunately if there is a routing issue or similar between your network and someone elses it can be very hard to get someone to own the issue and fix it. It can often be on a third network between the two of you, and one which neither of you is a customer of etc.
Good job on working around it.

My Router Lan address is 192.168.86.1. Not sure how that is different from my wifi... as my router is a wifi-only router. If you are asking about the ip on my computer, connected via wifi, it is 192.168.86.47. (sorry if i'm a bit of a noob on these things).

You removed your tracert so I cat see it anymore.
Im sure there was a reason I asked for this info but I cant tell anymore without teh tracert.

Im 90% sure your google wifi is plugged into ANOTHER ROUTER.
    That is also doing NAT.

Port forward TCP1802 from that router to the WAN IP and TCP1802 on the Google thingy
and port forward TCP1802 from google to the PC IP and TCP1802

I'm 100% that the google wifi plugged in directly to the ISP's provided modem. The modem does not have any ethernet ports on it and is not a modem/router combo as far as I know. And I have no access to the settings on the modem itself. The Google Wifi is connected directly via cat6 to the ISP's modem. There is one single ethernet port on the Google Wifi for wired devices which sends to our VoiP device. That's it.

    As for the tracert:

How is the Google Wifi connected to the ISP router?
Surely its cabled in to the ISP router?
What happens if you plug your computer directly into the ISP router?
What is the gateway address in your IP settings when you do that?
Can you browse to it in your browser?
    Can you log into it?
Can you call your ISP and say "Hey I need to do some port forwarding - whats the password?"
